After fishing, I trailer my boat and tilt motor and water runs from under the cowling. Any ideas what I am looking at. Has done it the last few times out. Yesterday I drove about a mile to my first spot. water again drained out when motor tilted up. When I got back from fishing I tilted up and it was bone dry. I am confused.

Anyone.........................

Check the easiest thing first. See if you can move the cowling around. If you can, the grommets that hold the lower cowling in place are worn out and you are not getting a good seal on the lower cowling. If that's not it, then you can go deeper. That's what I ran across when I saw what you are seeing.
