I live between Lewisville and Grapevine lakes - we've gotten so much rain the last 3 weeks my lawn is in danger of lawn-sliding down the slight rise to my house and on to the sidewalk. Also since my wife is done w/ classes I'm revoking my 2yr forum lurker status and am going to try and make one of these. I'm not a huge bass fisher (haven't done any down here in the south) but i do have fun when i hook em - from what i've seen and heard of you guys i'm sure i'll learn a lot

Just to let everyone know sandbass point is now open and we will be launching from there this week it's usually protected from wind and holds a lot of fish in the marina area.

I think I heard on the news that GV has come up 43 inches in two days? That's crazy! I was out there last Wednesday and again on Saturday. It had come up at least 3 1/2 feet in that span. I was fishing Twin Coves and you honestly wouldn't know it was the same lake.
This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever. I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing

haven't checked but it should be... the lake is only ~1 foot down compared to the 10 feet it was in January. Though i know a few of the ramps are still closed until whomever maintains gets a chance to clear some of the brush that has grown up right beside/on the ramps.

Time to dip my toes in, I stopped at mariner sails and bought 360 light(per the rules) and brought my kayak to work so i am in. Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting more than my usual hour out on the water that the law(wife) allows.
