Gonna head down south for some boat fishing with a guy that lives there on the water but Also wanted to bring the fly rod and do some wade fishing. Any tips on what is going on there and what lures/type of fly I need for wade fishing and spots to go to?

Try smaller shrimp flies and glass minnow flies. Where to fish depends on how you will access it; I'd say just find some firm, wadeable flats away from everyone else, anchor up, and get out and start fishing. There are good areas everywhere down there, north or south from your location. Your host should be able to point you to some good areas.

thx Jim!I ll see what I can do about getting some flies like that at Bass Pro. I was gonna try and tie some but do not have time to learn before I go.
