I need new boat trailer tires. I have the original marathon tires and they have lasted 10 years. I have one that I noticed the steel belts are showing and it is starting to separate. The others are decent but 10 years old. I guess to be safe I will replace them all. Where can I find marathon tires in the Rowlett area?

I was not aware they were made in China. I know they are Goodyear tires and are what came on the boat when I bought it new. They are 10 Years old and never had a problem with them. What would you recommend.

The goodyear marathons that are made in China have been very problematic. If you can find a set that's made in usa or Canada go for it. It will say on the sidewalls. Got tired of replacing fenders and trailer parts myself.

Old Marathons were made in USA. New ones are made in China. Just google "Goodyear marathon china" to find all the issues folks have had. I bought some new ones without reading about it just gave them away to a buddy of mine. One torn up trailer fender will cost more to repair than an entirely new set of tires.
Kumho 857 radials are rated past 75 mph, so you can drive the speed limit anywhere around here. And they're reasonably affordable and have good reviews. I've had mine for about 3 years now with no issues.

Ive got 2 marathons (from china) on the ground with no issues going back and forth from SA to Hebronville once a month for the past 3 years.
Other trailer tires I have run are Carlyle radials.

What about the Carlisle tires at discount tire Had a set on our TT we replaced them 3 years ago and they were new from discount in 1998... so at 13-14 years old we blew the first one and replaced them all with the same size brand. 3 years down the road and had a belt break in one but it didn't blow and that's the only thing.

Personally, I'd buy LT's instead if you can fit them.

I have had both Goodyear and Carlisle on my trailers. Proper tire maintenance on all 18, as I hate nothing more than popping a tire on a trailer while going somewhere. I had nothing but constant probs with both.
I now have 18 Gladiators on the ground as we speak, and I have not had a single problem with them for years. Properly maintained just like the others. They are a bit less expensive than some others, and their claim of less roll resistance appears to be true on my trailers.
But just remember, buy a tire that you are comfortable with and fits your budget. Just because I had bad luck with some brands, doesn't mean that you will have the same luck.

What about the Carlisle tires at discount tire I insist on the bias ply or non-radials. I have never had a blow out or even a flat with one and I have had probably 6-7 sets on my trailer. I run the tread off of them for the most part. Some people say the radials ride smoother but I stick with the bias for durability.

I have used both, I prefer the radials. They are smoother and wear SO MUCH BETTER! The biased plys we used to run on the boat/flat bet would last 2 years before they needed to be replaced due to abnormal/excesive wear. Running the same size and brand but radial instead of biased ply on the same axlels trailers and hubs they last easily 2-3 times as long.
