Had a great day on Hickory Creek. 5 hybrids(lost one at the bank) and a bunch of keeper sandies. Didn't have anything to measure with so I used my boot for a comparison.

Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?

Nice, thanks for the report. I wasn't sure they were still up in the creek.

I got there about 3 hours before dark and caught my last hybrid with almost no light. I didn't snag anything. More than one had those red spots. The guy I was fishing around hung one too but it got him hung up and came off so it may be possible I caught his. They are in the creek, they hit rocks, timber, hooks and other stuff too. I am using a 5' light rod with 15 lb braid. They are a blast to fight. I havn't seen or caught a hybrid in years so you can imagine my response to catching not one but 5. banana The rain lowered the pressure in the water so they were running and biting. From what I have gathered so far, they run and bite after a rain.
