on James Allen's Blue water striper guide service it says "Oklahoma residents 64 yrs or older can fish all public Texas waters without a fishing license. All they need is their Ok drivers license or ID". So I should be good with my Senior license.

No problem Lewis. As with anything on the internet (including my own postings) if anyone feels it is incorrect or not fully clarified, I highly recommend investigating/calling yourself. I sometimes hesitate to post such information as it can be misinterpreted or even incorrect. In fact, I have even called TPWD on a few clarifications of the law before and received conflicting answers by those in charge so even that is not infallible. In those cases, I document who I talked to and what they said.....you never know. smile

Let us know how you do. If you fish west of 377 bridge check out Fobb Bottom and let us know if the Sand Bass are staging there yet.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Yes, I have been picking up sand bass along the banks of Fobb Bottom.....they've hit some of the larger striper stuff (horseheads and sassys) - probably could catch more if targeted them with a smaller presentation. The size hasn't been real great - mostly 14-15" but plump.

BenP, I'll PM you.

Try north of the 70 bridge. Specifically the big glasses area. They've been catching there by trolling thundersticks.

I have been advised that if you reside in Texas and are 65 years or older that you do not need a special license to fish Lake Texoma. That your regular fishing license is all that is needed. If I have been misinformed please let me know as I have a trip planned for April I want to be legal.

I'm sorry to say I will not be fishing on the 377 side but they say we are going to grand pappy point park. Is the boat ramp there any good?

If I am right and I think I am, a senior in Texas age 65+ can fish all of Texoma with just a Texas senior lic. You don't have to purchase a fishing license in OK after age 65. That is what their book says I think.
