I've got a 96 Champion 181 and I'm wanting to upgrade the electronics. I'm a fire fighter full time and my two kids are involved in everything. That being said I'm on a tight budget like most of us. What would you all recommend for a console and front unit? I'm keeping an eye out for used also. Thanks

Lowrance is closing out the hdi 7 if you can find one for 399. Nice unit for the price

Lowrance elite 7 is good for the money if you can find one on close out. You also might check out the new Garmin line up. The 73sv and 73dv are nice units on a budget. If you needed something a little cheaper you could look at the 5" units aswell. I just recent bought a garmin 93sv and it was worth every penny imo.
