For those fishing south of Miller....I always see snakes on the trail this time of the year. I was wondering, do they breed this time of the year as well?

This thread lit up! It was slow going until this week. I will be out on the creek sometime late this week. Probably friday evening and some on the weekend. WIll post up after I have a better idea and see whos going to be out.

For those fishing south of Miller....I always see snakes on the trail this time of the year. I was wondering, do they breed this time of the year as well? Not sure about breed but definitely come out of their holes with the warmer weather. They'll lay on the path after the sun heats it up all day. Won't don't anything to you, but watch your feet an don't step on em.. may be another story. From yesterday:

2 different snakes about 100 yds apart on the trail. Don't think about those things up north but after I stumbled across the first one kept my eyes peeled for sure

Just about steeped on one (a copperhead) fishing yesterday afternoon. Could have bit me multiple times if he wanted to before I noticed him but he was pretty docile (luckily). For the most part they won't mess with you if you don't mess with them, but definitely watch your step out there. Snake boots would be even better.
