My first question was if I could temporarily remove the foam blocks for extra storage on an overnight trip. Second question was if it was easy to stand in. Third was if it leaks and are there seat issues that need to be addressed like there were in the first 2014 models. Thanks for any help I appreciate it guys.
~Yes you can remove the foam blocks. I do it every time I get back from the lake to let the inside dry. I wouldn't try to stand or get on it without them in place though.
~I have stood a few times. Even paddled a little today while standing on it, but haven't tried to fish that way yet. I tied a simple piece of rope to the front handle that I use to help stand, and also use to pull it ashore. It can be stood on, but Good things happen fast, Great things take time...Especially with this kayak lol.
~As soon as I bought it, I sealed the scupper hole creases just in case, as well as the small round dry box. It was very easy to remove and seal.
~I am 250lbs 6'2'' and the seat has work beyond expectations with no signs of bending. I think they took the reviews and criticism to the drawing board in order to ensure they produced a better product than before. I was expecting it to bend like the 2014 seats did.
~Also, they moved the rod holder forward. It hasn't been in my way at all so far while paddling, and I have long arms. Although it doesn't work properly. It only locks in the forward position, maybe the backward position too idk. But I think their is a fix it video on YouTube about it.
Overall I am completely happy with it so far. I am about to ad an anchor trolley system, might even rig up a crate for it. This kayak has a lot of potential, just don't rush into it. PM me if you have any more questions about it.
