It's about preservation and conservation that's all I'm saying! Keep the little girls to eat , we all know there are plenty in LAH, let the big girls go so others can enjoy too. Many other reasons as well genetics, ect. Just saying conservation and preservation!

Well it's a photo taken by a co-worker of mine.

The fish was still, although barely, alive at the time the picture was taken. Problem with your statement is that I am 5ft 8in and 240lbs and it is obvious the young man holding the fish in question is lean.

The picture was taken Friday evening at the square in Snyder. That is the northeast corner of the courthouse.

Was the fish 15.25 lbs? I don't know. I didn't see it although if I did I still wouldn't know. My buddy did say it was bigger than the 12 lber he caught.

Was he fishing Alan Henry? Thats what the young man said.

What part of this do you believe is a hoax?

And no offense, but I think his fish looks bigger than the 11 lber you posted. It looks long and fat.
Biggest bass I've ever held was 9 1/2 lbs. anything over that just simply looks huge to me.

From the way it sounded he caught this fish and ran straight to town to show his dad. Good chance nobody at the lake saw it, and this was Friday not Saturday or Sunday.

I pretty much got my butt handed to me as well. 7 fish Saturday with biggest Under 3 lbs and 3 13" fish on Sunday. But I spent a lot of time in deeper water hoping for a biggun. I thought for sure the 4 degree drop in temperature in a week kept them out deep. Maybe not.

This thread is hilarious. I was drinking at The Horny Toad in downtown snyder where he took the picture and saw a guy go get his scale and weigh it. It was 15.3 lbs. That guy was a good 6'3" and even if he wasn't that 11 lber the one guy just posted doesn't look even close to the 15 lb picture. The thing that is wrong on this thread that he told me was that he caught it at jb Thomas but told ppl alan henry bc he didn't want his spot ruined. Do ppl not think there are 15 lb fish in every Texas lake the quality of alan henry bc they don't catch them? I didn't recognize the kind of soft plastic he used but he did say it was pink.

I heart fishing

It is large but doesn't really look 15 lbs.

I was told it was caught at EV Spence

haha wow... JB Thomas my rear end. That lake was so low for so long. I don't see a bass that size living in those conditions, but you never know I guess.

I can confirm the story about the 10.6 caught on the dock at Alan Henry though. Saw it with my own eyes. I'm not real sure where he's getting his facts on if he killed it or not. He was going to take it home to get it mounted but a few anglers stopped him and told him about replicas and how to do it. He sounded interested. I'm not saying he did or didn't but I know I saw him put her back in the water on the rope he had her tied to. I wouldn't be surprised if she died either way though. He was handling her pretty rough.

That fish doesn't appear to be 15 but it sure is a nice fish.

Congrats to the young man either way.

Ya, doesn't look 15+ to me either. But, sure is a good un....Alan Henry always seems to have a story of a bank/crappie house fisherman catching a big girl.
