If it's raining up in the Hickory Creek and Pecan Creek watershed like it is here in the Big D, there is gonna be one helluva run, and soon!(white bass, that is!). I know my Elm Fork hotspots will be smokin'! This cold snap won't slow them down much if at all.

Where are the Elm Fork hot spots? If you don't mind sharing. This week will probably not be the best time to fish.

If you are talking about EF above Lew there probably aren't any, unless you are after gar.

Elm Fork below LL. 121 business bridge area, Between 35 and Carrollton Dam, California Crossing, Frasier Dam. Basically from Frasier Dam to 121 business bridge area, just downstream from LLELA

Thanks guys.. I live out in Austin these days, but still sometimes come out to Dallas to fish. Don't have the time that I used too to look for new spots.

I stopped by Hickory at the Old Alton bridge and the water was up a lot. Plenty high, but unfortunately it was chocolate milk. I'm keeping an eye on it to see if it cleans up at all.

Ben you know what the creek looks like after this rain, it's up, flowing, and that hickory creek shade of chocolate milk that it always is. Let's hit the banks when it drys up a bit, if you can bare to leave that boat trailered for a day or two.

Hahaha Brent! what is up my friend. I love how I only hear from you when this season comes back around! Where do you hide the rest of the year!!! This year you WILL be going on the boat with me I hope. We were going to hit up a few creeks this weekend and most likely will not now... If I decide to go to Lewisville Saturday or Sunday I will let you know!

P.S. that question I posted was before the deluge of rain we got!!! I am very happy that the water is high fast and muddy cus that means good things to come hopefully, the only thing I want to know now is what about the water temp. It got to 50 a while back but it has got to be back to 45 or so now... Wonder how long it will take the fish to get in gear. Will the colder water temp hold them up in the lake and keep them from spawning in the creek, or will they hold their eggs long enough for the water to get warm so that they can make a run

I only fish on days that end in Y!
