This type of thing does work, as I know a lot of people who use of cow feed and it does. I think what the need that these guys are trying to do is for the short term week-end folks. I hope it does prove out.

Experimented with a few on Granger the other day with a brush pile at the fishing pier.
This seemed to be a good place to try as no one was fishing the pier that morning and I know that fish generally hang out around that pier.
Fished pile for a few minutes and did not get bit.
Put in two cakes and fished five more minutes and did not get bit.
Tried another cake and crumbled this one on pile. Fished another 10 minutes and did not get bit.
Fished other areas of lake and fishing was not good at all.
At the end of day was going to go fish the baited pile that I left that morning, but there were people fishing the dock and did not want to disturb them.
No luck just yet, but did not drop as many of the cakes out that Greg said I needed to do per his instructions.... so verdict is still out.
I will do a full report next week on a pile that is on main lake and I will bait this one out the way Greg told me.
Will post results.
I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing. Kevin Kubiak Lakes Somerville and Granger, crappie guide 512-848-4469 www.hotcrappie.compro staff; proanglertackle.com

I just received this E-mail from Bill Hoch: (2-22-15) Dear Greg, " Your product works great. We went to our crappie hole on Willis Creek Friday night (2/20/15) and did not catch it single crappie all night. A couple walked up on us just as we were packing up and asked how we are doing. We told them we had no bites and then the young fella handed me three crappie cakes and told us to use these next time. We went back to the crappie hole the following evening to try your product. As you can see in the picture attached we did very good. Your product put those crappie into a feeding frenzy, we were even catching crappie on dead minnows. WOW !" Bill Hoch I told you folks this stuff is the real deal !!! Place your orders NOW . There is a limited supply, for now. 254-722-2931 Ck www.TheCrappieKing.com

I would suggest folks keep in mind the baitfish and gamefish patterns this time of year when baiting areas. Right now they are staging on main lake points, testing the water. trying to gradually move into spawning areas. I would not bait holes on the main lake in 6 to 16 feet. This time of year, most lakes the fish like 18 to 32 feet , even deeper. If your baiting a creek try to find a deeper hole, or sunken tree or brush. A ledge in a creek bend is also a good area.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

As far as attracting baitfish and crappie to a brushpile I have no doubt in my mind that the Cakes work. This is the 1st year that I have used them to stimulate the fish to bite. It has blown my socks off,as to how well it works in this manner. here is a pic of what the cakes "SMELL LIKE" underwater. The more you look at CK CAKES Like DEER CORN the more it will make sense to you. Ck BEFORE CAKES IN WATERAFTER CAKE DEPLOYMENT

Yes that's what it looks like on sonar when you drop them in the lake.

I think he means, is this just the cake crumbs themselves showing up on sonar, or is this baitfish?
