Go up hwy 185 off hwy 6 going towards china spring and take a right on yankie rd just past the high school and go all the way down to where it takes a hard left and the flat rock access is on the right before that sharp curve. Theres a sign. Good spot to go since its free and its straight across from the north bosque

Hey guys... I'm in a slip at Lake Waco Marina this year with a pontoon boat...I've been up the north Bosque a couple of times but I've had to navigate the flooded timber from the main lake to the mouth... my Navionics map shows a definite channel through there anywhere from 6-12 ft deep but vary off course and you're in 2 ft water... any tips for finding and staying on top of that channel? Sure is a lot of wood in the water...

Yea it's pretty heavy through there, I've only been through on a canoe so really no need to worry about it but from what I was seeing Saturday, boats were staying closer to the left bank as they went up the river. My advice, just take it nice and easy up through there

There should be some markers on some of the trees through there.

I'm in a mudboat so I don't really have to worry about it.

I was thinking of going to the south tomorrow evening depending on the weather. I think the wind should be light by then. Is the south bosque blocked pretty good from the wind?

Marcus, would you mind giving a report on the south bosque since you'll be out this morning?
