Some things to know about the ISS ranch lakes is that they were built in the 50's and have aged naturally. They were stocked with northern strain largemouth bass and still have that original strain growing in them today. TPWD has stocked nothing but Florida strain largemouth bass throughout the state for more then 20 years. Florida strain bass grow larger and faster than their northern cousins and that fact has changed the perspective of many bass fishermen as to what qualifies as a big bass.. Double digit Florida strain bass are not unusual but a true 10lb plus northern strain largemouth bass is 1 in a billion..

Ben, can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy your fish tales videos! The camera work and narration is just great.
Not a fly fisherman or a kayak'r (sp) but, I surely enjoy your posts.
