Well, here it is folks. After lots of thought, request from local anglers and planning with Rick, Patti and the Anglers Pro Tackle pro staff, we bring you the Texas Kayak Anglers Association! Lots of things in the works but know this, There WILL be a local DFW trail ran by anglers familiar with north Texas waters. Dates are not set as of yet but the kickoff year will consist of a 3 tournament fall series followed by a Championship in March before the start of the spring/summer trail. These tournaments will run from Sept-Nov. This will not be a trail to miss! Lots of exciting news in the works!
Also know this, the Texas Kayak Anglers Association is not being created for the sole purpose of running a tournament trail. Its purpose is also to fill the void that many non tournament anglers feel as more and more attention is paid toward the tournament side of the sport. This will be done with campouts and other paddle, fishing and educational related events.
Stayed tuned for tournament dates, information along with all off the exciting news to come as the Texas Kayak Anglers Association develops in the coming months!

Cool! I'd like to get in on some tourney bass fishing this year where my laid back approach and general lack of skill will not cost me a fortune!
Even though I only fished for striper, I really enjoyed the Red River Rivalry and hanging out with some of the bass cats.
