I'm coming to the Irvine/Dallas area for the last 3 weeks in February for training. This may be my only chance to go after some Texas buckets but not in a position to drop a few hundred dollars. Im normally hopping around Ohio and have frequented Erie the majority of time.
Any guidance on getting a line wet is appreciated.

Appreciate the responses......kind of what I'm looking for and will throw in food and gas. I'm locked into training Monday through Friday however have nothing to do during the weekend since wifey will be left here in Ohio.

Which weekends will you be in the Dallas area? Are you mobile (rental car)?

Yes I will have a rental and will be in for 2 weekends....Feb 14th & 15th and the 21st & 22nd.

Which lakes were you interested in fishing? I assume Fork any others?

I'm not picky considering I fish for bass in Ohio.....other than smallies in Erie, we're lucky to break 5 lbs. So really anything in the area I would have interest in if it works out scheduling wise.

Did you get any other responses other than mine and papamark? I see that there is an electronics seminar on 2/21 at Oak Ridge that I would like to go to (need to figure out my new HB's).

There are some good fish in the Los Colinas waterways which is near Irving.

There is no telling what I will be doing those weekends (or weekdays after work for that matter). If you find yourself not fishing, send me a PM and we will see what happens. I mostly fish Joe Pool these days but you never know.

Appreciate all the comments.....I've got a couple people to reach out to once I get in town however will post if I find myself hanging out in the hotel w/o getting a line wet. I'm bringing some gear and will be ready.
