Went pond fishing Sunday and couldn't really get on a good pattern. Paddling back in we saw a fish eat a Dragonfly 2' from the boat. I tied an old Dragonfly I had as a kid (never even used it). It was sort of silly looking, but wouldn't you know, I hang it in a bush, pick it out and next cast a fish eats it as soon as it touches down. SNAP! There went my 20 year old fly!!!

So after finding none online like the one I lost(even attempting to buy one like I lost), I tied this up to see if it would fool them next trip.

After buying a Tenkara rod, I had to tie my own Tenkara flies too!!

Here is a version of the Dr. Ishigaki's Sakasa Kebari

What do you think of the Fish Skulls? Have you discovered how to apply the eyes with out getting glue on them?
Other than the glue issue I like them so much I have stopped tying Clousers.

I like them so far....sure makes finishing off a head SO SO easy....almost too easy!!

I use Gel glue that doesn't run. I use a bodkin to apply the eye...tip to the back sticky part, then place on spot. Wipe off bodkin. Then press bodkin on top of eye to seat it.

First try at a Tube Fly. No particular pattern, just picked it up, starting experimenting and ended up with this. It will get a little Field Test this afternoon. I can see myself getting into this more.

I had to tie me a Bunny after seeing Eric's Flounder Pics. Got my bay trip coming up in June.

Well, I guess I am the only one tying flies. smile Come on guy/gals/kids...it easy as can be to post a picture on here. I'm ALWAYS needing new ideas to stir my fly tying brain up. Post em!!

GAME CHANGER!! The Classic Pose!!

This fly has really interested me since I saw it, I finally got the materials and tied one up....too bad I didn't buy more Minnow Body Wrap (I almost used my whole pack). Looks like I'm placing another order today. This fly has got Big Ol Bass with it's name on it this Saturday!!

Sorry, Bub. Doin' 60 hour weeks at the J.O.B. Haven't been able to recharge enough at the weekends to invoke the tying gods.
This weekend, I'm gonna try to get out on the creek for a little riparian resuscitation. I might tie a few during the race, Sunday.

I also spent a little time playing with these things, but I think I'm short one set of legs...
