A buddy and I will be going to Texoma tonight to camp and Be up early to fish! We have been to Texoma once in Novermber and we launched out of highport marina. Were not sure if we should launch from Highport or somewhere else?.. We would rather not paddle around a couple hours and never mark fish.. Any help would be greatly aprrectiated, we are newbs to stripers as we always fish for LMB! you could Pm if you'd like Thanks!

Was on the big pond all day today,, marked a lot of fish, but could not talk them into biting anything, and we tried everything.. as soon as I got home got a phone call that informed me the stripers were hitting at highport... but the pond changes every day

Tough call..HP is a good place to yak from with the islands and deep water close by but if I were taking my yak I think I would put in somewhere around Cedar Mills and fish the points and creeks down in Big Mineral. There is also drops and flats in there. I have done that in the big boat and have had some success throwing bucktails with trailers around stumps. Post in the yak section if you haven't already.
