Are they here? Fishing in the boat slips has been terrible this winter. On a good day 4 or 5, most days none or 1-2. Speaking of dogs:  This one needs a home (FREE). Approx 18 months old, house broken, friendly, boxer/terrier mix, male, neutered, shots current, chip implanted. Belongs to my granddaughter.

that there will make someone a fine friend Ernest my daughter got a boxer mix when she was in college in the girl version still has that thing ....and it loves her almost as much as me

Still trying to pin those Crappie down in my neck of the woods.  Sometimes we do pretty good but a lot of the time it's pretty rough going!  Hopefully the bite will get better. Side Note: That dog will make a super friend for someone!

Our slip is not far from yours. Same problem. Heard the shad didn't come in last spring to spawn.

Sorry to hear you haven't been catching fish but I'm glad to know its not just me. Not that I've been able to go as often as I want but when I do get out to my spot on Grapevine it is SLOW.
Good looking pooch. Hopefully you find him a home soon.

haven't fished since before Christmas..
but it was slow at that time...
More brush has been added..
and the bride has plenty of venison in the freezer...
So gonna try it again soon....

Ernest, do you know if the dog rides in a boat? I'd might like to have a fishing buddy for times I go it alone.

It's funny how much it can vary from year to year. Just when you think you have it all figured out, it turns out you don't.
I remember taking Pat along on a trip to Aquilla, and telling him just how incredible the fishing was, exactly at this time the previous year. Of course, we didn't catch squat.

Same with me, Ernest. I also fish a slip in a marina on LL. Hasn't been the same this winter as the past several winters. Went today, not even a little thump. BAH- HUMBUG!!

looks like some pitbull terrier in the bloodline . Nice looking hound !

I thought I was doing something wrong out at the 'Office' because I've had about the same luck. 2-4 fish each time, a few trips I couldn't even get bit. I don't know what's going on out there. Maybe the stupid water turkeys have eaten all the marina shad.
