These are a combo of photofinish and blended paint.
It takes awhile to get this process where it looks right.

Check out the TackleUnderground website. They have some very good step by step schedules for photo finishes. JWflipper could write his own how to....he's got the process dead to right.

The best insight I can give is,don't get in a hurry. This is something that takes practice to do and learning how to size your pictures to your blank. And yes TackleUnderground has some great info. go to "members submitted tutorials and look for Shaggy1081 about 3/4 down the page, great info.

I've been thinking about making wood baits but I'm not sure whats involved (tools, etc)in making baits like those in your pictures....painting lures is one thing making wooden lures from scratch seems to be another thing entirely. Really like that pumpkin perch diving bait.

Thanks again!! routers, lathes, sanders 4 drill presses, band saw,shop vacs, six airbrushes two air compressors ect! and thinking about buying a real crankbait cutting machine but at $14,000.00 its how to get the wife to agree on getting one!!
