The best insight I can give is,don't get in a hurry. This is something that takes practice to do and learning how to size your pictures to your blank. And yes TackleUnderground has some great info. go to "members submitted tutorials and look for Shaggy1081 about 3/4 down the page, great info. Balsa and basswood depending on what bait I make Jeff I've been thinking about making wood baits but I'm not sure whats involved (tools, etc)in making baits like those in your pictures....painting lures is one thing making wooden lures from scratch seems to be another thing entirely. Really like that pumpkin perch diving bait.
