I will be in Mt Pleasant this weekend, was going to try Welsh but it looks like it will be extremely crowded. Any hints for fishing Monticello as a cold water lake?
thanks

Id say slow down and throw jigs around creek channels. Or maybe dropshots around the bridges and in the discharge. The water isnt any warmer in there but therr still is a small current. A jerkbait may work as well around shallower water

There will be several out there struggling with you as we have a club T there Saturday. Glad to be fishing but not expecting a whole lot with the cold water for sure. Was hopeing this last cold spell would get them generating but guess not.
