It's raining heavy again, this one should push the lake up to full level. I can hear the white bass running up the creek from Brenham!!!!!

Nice to meet you. Went out this morning until the cold and rain ran me off.

Should have went creek fishing I guess. The bite on the lake sucked. Had my ultralight gear with me, but didn't think hauling the boat there would have been a good idea. So I stuck to fishing instead of catching. Oh well, I'll hit the creek one day this coming week when the weather is half way decent.

Hope you make it to the creek today, Ben. The rest of this week is looking cold and nasty. Might shut the bite down.

Hard to find but when we did it was ON! Actually Daniel found the fish in places I usually skip over.. it's always good to take guys that don't know where they are suppose to fish wink

If I've learned anything about the whitebass in the Yegua, it is that they move alot! Found them in two places, neither of which I would have spent much effort fishing before today. The last spot Daniel found was the best with both whitebass and crappie but it was after five o'clock and we needed to be off the water before dark and had fish to clean.

I can tell you this, bank fishing is a flop right now. We need some good rain in the worst way. I would like to see a solid week of drizzle. When we get this stuff, the run off becomes clear water, but almost all of it will find its way into the creek. The creek needs at least five times the amount of water flow it has right now if we are gonna see a good spawn. Lake level is great, but they need that good flow of muddy water to show them the way up into the creek from the lake. Sounds crazy to most I'm sure, but that's what we need to get this spawn going good. All one can do is sit and wait to see what Mother Nature has in store for us this year.

Glad to see you guys found some today. I know y'all had to work for them though. That's all it takes, one good hole stacked up with fish and you can load up on em.
