I'm finding some deals on these units online for 350 w/ a transom mount transducer. Does anyone have any experience with these units, good or bad?

The ones I'm finding come with a transom mount transducer, is there a way to mount these on the trolling motor? a special mounting device?

Thanks ahead for any help! I've always ran birds.

I have one on the front of my boat. Works great. You will need the adapter cup[000-10978-001] to put the transducer on the trolling motor. Everyone sells them for about $20.00. Good luck

I put one on my boat in oct and I like it. I had been running x15s since 2004 so this was a big change for me. Had a couple guys say that it had a better picture than the touch model's they had in their boats. I believe that there is a bracket to let you use the transom mount on your trolling motor... not much for you to go on just my 2 cents...

I Just ordered one and received it yesterday. The part number for the Trolling motor mount is 000-10978-001. I ordered mine from lowrance.factoryoutlet.com. It's called a Lowrance Trolling Motor Adapter.

Is this true? Better picture quality than touch screen? Would like to hear from those that have experience with this.

I have one on the front of the boat and it works great. I don't know that I've noticed a big difference in DI quality from my Gen 2 at the console and the HDI but I've really not paid attention.

If you put it at the front, spend a little extra money and get the Transducer Shield & Saver trolling motor mount.

I have one at my console on a Ram mount and it is great! I've got over $600 in mine, so $350 is a great deal.

Have one on the front of my boat, only issue is it goes off by itself once in awhile, talked to the electronics guy at BP and said to bring it back to swap out only 6 months old. Headed there this week. Other than that has good detail.

The Elite 7X only has downscan and sonar, no GPS. The Elite 7 HDI has sonar, downscan and GPS, it comes with a 83/200/455/800 transducer . The Elite 7 Broadband only comes with sonar transducer 83/200 and GPS . Hope this helps

Since I have finally found someone that speaks highly of this unit. Can someone help me with mine because it aint worth using for a trot line weight. You mark a brushpile and you will never see it again. I can troll all over the mark and nothing. cast around and finally feel the brush pile. How accurate is everyone elses?

My unit is usually within +- 20'. Zoom in a close as you possibly can to get the best reading. I have had 2 of these units, a 7 Broadband and a 7 HDI and both have been really close.

Could you please send me some of your settings. I can get that close just thought it should be closer. I have had a terrible time adjusting mine. If I use the simulator to set it so you can see the fish arches and make the bottom look good, when you get to the lake you can't make heads or tails of what you are seeing. I need to figure out how to get it close so I can trust it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have much experience with sonar and downscan.
