Been looking at the weather to try and find a good day to take off and do some fishing and settled on Thursday. Called long time friend, fishing buddy, and tournament partner Trent Miller aka Stripaholic up and said I'm coming out to Tawakoni on Thursday so lets go! Anyone who knows him knows he can't pass up a chance to go fishing. Told him we where going to put on a deadsticking clinic, I'd say mission accomplished with almost nonstop action and with double digit lb hybrid, other hybrids up to 8lbs, 6 species- striper, hybrids, sandies, yellow bass, catfish, and crappie.  Report- Water is 12.05 ft low Water Temp was mid 50's Most fish caught 30+ FOW Strolling/Deadsticking 3 to 5 inch flukes on my custom homemade jig heads and the Stripaholic Jig heads from RSR The proof- Double digit lb hybrid-  8lb hybrid-  Doubles anyone?  Id say the sandbass are bunched up!!!!   Bonus.... monster crappie   Anything 6lbs or over was all released. As usual enjoyed it Trent! If your looking to book a trip I can't recommend Trent (Stripaholic) enough, the fish are biting so get out there and get you some.

One of the best bites of the year has arrived. 100+ catch days of last weekend were a blast but the big hybrids Tawakoni is famous for were a no show. Well, big fish are back and dead sticking season is in full force. From the novice in-experienced fisherman to the seasoned veteran, let me show you techniques that will work across the entire region. Catches are including giant sand bass...  Yup that is a white bass  Lots of 16-18" striper and hybs, limits of striper and hyb. With alot of action its a great time to learn and/or fine tune your technique. I have weekday and weekend openings. Lets go hunt em down! Fridays trip...  Saturdays trip...  Bill Davis helped with a second trip on Saturday. Wore em out topped off with a pig 8lber  Sundays trip had 4 anglers with 103 fish landed with a father/son duo pictured...  Fish being caught on Stripaholic double and single rigs with 3-5" flukes from RSR lures. RSR recently added a silver pearl soft fluke to his arsenal that will put em in the boat. The softer plastic is more life-like with alot of wiggle.
