Can I fish the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma with my Texas license? I have seen where their is a "Texoma" license.

Nope you need a text ma license or Oklahoma fishing license.

From what I recall, you cannot fish with the Texas license.... that's the reason for the Texoma license.
"wo-thirds of this lake lies in Oklahoma. Anglers with Texas licenses may fish in the Texas portions of the reservoir, or purchase a Lake Texoma license ($12) to fish the entire lake."

Don't worry about it. I have been fishing Texoma for 40+ years and only been checked twice. Just kidding. Last couple of years I have been buying a OK license because I fish other parts of the state. I f you do it with just a Texas license keep in mind that OK owns the channel.

Yes, I have actually heard of this thing called an Oklahoma license and a Texoma license. The reason I asked is because from what I understand Texas and Louisiana have a reciprocal agreement for border waters.

If you get into Oklahoma you better have a Texoma or Oklahoma license. The Oklahoma border runs right out from the Texas bank in some places. The border is the old river channel. The Oklahoma GW's know right where it is. Get a Texoma license and go fishing. Good Luck

If you fish on OK side without either an OK or Texoma license, you will get a ticket.......there!

Seems like I remember that if your over 65 years old, you don't need a license in Oklahoma.

Nope. I wanted to know if Texas/Oklahoma had an agreement. Nope, Texas and Oklahoma do not have an agreement to honor each other's licenses. For that matter, they don't agree on much of anything else either... To fish the whole lake, you either need both a TX and an OK license or the Texoma specific license. As a side note, OK owns all of the Red River too.

If I'm not mistaken there are some places on the Texas side of the river below the dam where you are in Oklahoma and need an Oklahoma license.
