I fished my slip at Joe Pool Marina from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. this afternoon, without much success.

I caught an 11" white crappie, two 8" catfish and a 22" large mouth bass all afternoon. Everything was caught on the two rods that had suspended minnows. The rods were on the pontoon so there was some slight movement from wave action.

But wave action was minimal.

I tried various jigs with various techniques but not even a strike with the jigs and soft baits. I had a hair jig and a tube jig suspended but no action on either.

But it was a fun afternoon at the slip. The temperature was nice all afternoon, did not need a sweater.

I have never had luck at Joe Pool with Crappie. Of course, I don't own a slip so I am limited to the Lynn Creek Barge. Maybe when it gets colder they will come in.
