Just some friendly instructions on how to tie a San Diego Jam Knot from our very own Zach Caudle. Let me know your thoughts.

Thar's my problem! Not enuf line. I always struggle wrapping the loops. I see people speed through it, and I get jealous!

This is an eye opener for me, I've never been able to figure out exactly what knot I tie. Been tying it for 30 years or more and it's the jam except I don't go through the bottom loop just the top. With both the main line and the tag end between my fingers I swing it around the tag end 5 or 6 times then through the loop formed at my fingers. Still not sure what to call it but from now on it's the modified or half arse SD jam.

I also use the Palomar knot and the uni knot or fishing fool knot quite often. Here are more fishing knots to choose from. http://www.netknots.com/fishing_knots/
