Just some friendly instructions on how to tie a San Diego Jam Knot from our very own Zach Caudle. Let me know your thoughts.

Thar's my problem! Not enuf line. I always struggle wrapping the loops. I see people speed through it, and I get jealous!

Double San Diego Jam is a better knot and just as easy.

This is an eye opener for me, I've never been able to figure out exactly what knot I tie. Been tying it for 30 years or more and it's the jam except I don't go through the bottom loop just the top. With both the main line and the tag end between my fingers I swing it around the tag end 5 or 6 times then through the loop formed at my fingers. Still not sure what to call it but from now on it's the modified or half arse SD jam. grin

This is the knot I tie often but I double the line.

I also use the Palomar knot and the uni knot or fishing fool knot quite often.

Here are more fishing knots to choose from.
