Thinking of switching to catfishing in the Winter. Stripers get too slow in the winter. I fish exclusively at Twok. Don't plan on keepig any, just looking for some Winter action. Any tips on where to fish, baits used, etc ? I caught about a dozen nice blues by accident last Winter deadsticking. Any help would be appreciated.
Personal best : Freshwater Red - 26.11lb. Striper - 15lb. Black- 7lb.

I can't help you on where to fish on twok, but I can tell you shad is the bait of choice! Fresh is always best. Also, find the bait and you'll find fish

Drift the known humps on the south side,,,
Fish the points you fish for striper/hybrids
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
