straight tail worms get the straight shank gamagatsu worm hook, 3/0 for 6" worms, 4/0 for the 8-10" worms, 5/0 for 12" worms and bigger.
curl tail worms 7" to 10" get the 3/0 gamagatsu EWG
Flukes, Senko's, and creature baits get the 4/0 EWG gamagatsu.
Its never a bad idea to go with the Super Line EWG hooks if your fishing with heavy floro or braid.
Works for me!

I use the Gamakatsu Offset Shank, EWG 4/0 with a 5" Senko.

I use VMC and Trokar 0/3 and 0/4 EWG super line for most worms. If it's a really long worm, I'll use 0/5-0/6.

I used owners for years now I fish mainly Gamagakatsu 3,4 & 5's depending on the size of plastic I'm throwing. For punching I like VMC.
