 Crappie during the winter months!!

Im fairly new to crappie. I was wondering if anyone had any good tips fishing for crappie this time of the year. I live near Joe Pool and have access to a kayak as well or on foot!

Take that yak back in a creek and you will hammer them.prob the best tool to have this time of year.

Put in at Britton park ramp and head back south under the RR tressel & Gifco rd bridge into mountain creek,or go to Loyd Park boat ramp and head up the Bowman creek.You can also access Walnut creek(my favorite) from loyd Park but you have to do from N Day Mair rd south of the park entrance.Excellent fishing in the dead cold of winter.

Crappie bite will be light. Jig slowly and methodically. Slower movements seem to make them cold water lazy fish bite. Down size the jig. Use minnows if all else fails.

Britton park ramp is closed thru February. U can put in under the bridge before gifco rd.
