Till I'm catching sandbass by the 100's on my fly rod in the creeks. Sabine starts in January most years that is all

Sorry my photo bucket was messing up in would only let me post one at a time but just looking back at a few from the last two years those hybrids on my flyrod or something to behold. That Clowser is the go to fly when they are in the creeks(out fish anything at least 5 to one)they can't stand it that one has no hair left and they were still hitting it every cast during the peak of the run.

Looks like fun and they are some monsters.

Is there any good spots to bank fish or launch a kayak?

We fished from the yak on the Sabine sandies look up jane at river ridge nice facility's and ramp just paddle up to a Bend in the river an start fishin the shoals. Carthage is the closest town they start January most years she has a web site as well.

I should add with 4x4 you could get a 20 ft center console in there lot of water an plenty deep.

Never actually been there, but Lock n Dam marina in Centerville starting late January until Mid-March.
