 gonna make the trip to little elm, Lew. too late?

i was planning to hit cottonwood park in little elm for carp/buffalo. question is, are the big ones still shallow, and has anyone had any luck at that spot. current water temps at LL is 54-61 degrees.

Water temp is still OK. When it gets to 50 or below, things tend to slow down. I don't know the park you are talking about, but it's worth a shot. Good Luck.

I was at the Garza dam on Tuesday and I saw some carp activity near the shoreline on the left side of the dam on the sandy beach part. Also caught a 4# smallmouth buffalo that day on frozen shad.

How'd you do out at cottonwood?
PB Carp, Common - 24 lb 12 oz
PB Buffalo, Smallmouth - 50 lb 00 oz
PB Carp, Grass - 14 lb 15 oz
PB Catfish, Blue - 22 lb 00 oz
PB Bass, Largemouth - 8 lb 00 oz
