Last February I caught my best 5 fish stringer (best while not on Falcon) of 33 lbs and change. The temp was 28 deg. and spitting sleet.
How cold is your limit?

I would have to say the worst for me is 100+ with out a breeze. But I'm still young and dumb so I'll get out in any weather if they are bitting

The colder the better for me. During the summer when it hits 100 I go in before noon. I don't do sunburn.

+1

I don't mind the heat, I can always find a way to cool off but it is very tough to stay warm when it is 30 or below and windy.

< 20 - 25. I fished a day earlier this year where my truck said 17 degrees at launch. Ice hanging off my console and my rod guides were icing up that morning. It was a power plant lake and I ended up having a great day but i froze my butt off.

Put in one time at Fork where we had to break the ice around the ramp to get out to the liquid water, sleet & snow mix. Had a great day of fishing.
Going this weekend, they have adjusted the forecast for low 30s overnight and mid 40s for the day,,,,,that won't be bad.
I would say if I can't get to the lake 10 minutes away, then it is too cold.

Have been out in the teens with no wind and been pretty comfortable on a power plant lake. Nothing like catching bass on a spook when it's 15* out. banana

I did use my old Skeeter Wrangler to break ice one time trying to get to the back of a creek. I'm too old for that now and hopefully have better sense. Seems like it was 17 degrees.

Haha. I know that's right! I tell mine,"I'll be home in a few"'. Which translates into "I'll be making my last few "last casts" in a few", followed by "just one more like I MEAN IT". Followed by getting the boat out of the water and stopping off to wash it. Lol. "A few" does mean hours...right?

As far as temps? It depends on the bite. If it's there, any temp. If it's not, then I'll go home and fish on the internet or in my lazy boy.
