Hello Everyone, this is my first post but I’ve been reading and monitoring this forum for quite some time. I just recently got out of the Marine Corps this year, and I gotta say during deployments I was on Texas Fishing Forum almost every chance I could get when I had access to a computer. I was stationed in California for 5 years and just starting to get acquainted to the Dallas area again since moving back.

I need some assistance; my life long friend has asked me to be the best man in his wedding. He would really like to do a fishing trip and weekend stay somewhere for his bachelor party. He has a couple family members that are younger, and would like to invite his dad and uncles along as well so the group has gotten quite big.

Looking for any recommendations for lakes, guides, and lodging. Mainly interested in Lake Texoma, or any other area reasonably close to the DFW area. Texoma just seemed like the most reasonable idea from what I have found so far searching, as far as accommodating our large size group and staying in a younger working group budget. Looking to keep this under 300 a person between the fishing and lodging, excluding tips for the guides.

-We have a group of 11 guys.
-Wanting to get a cabin or some kind of lodging situation that could accommodate the entire group for a Friday and Saturday night.
- Then have a guided fishing trip on that Saturday
-Looking at doing this some time in late April or early May

I know we kind of have a tight budget but from what I’ve found it can be done just looking to see if anyone else has any suggestions or other lakes that might be able to accommodate this kind of trip.

Look forward to hearing any suggestions or recommendations.

Semper Fi!
Bryan

This is who I would use:

J.D. Lyle Texoma Striper Guide. 214-499-0603 or 903-786-9997

903-603-3793
Clients or I have landed eight state record fish and eighteen water body records.

I think he also does lodging. I live in Pottsboro and know there are 3 cabins off of highport rd. that can be rented if not and JD launches from highport. sixoldgeezers.com is where all the Texoma guides hang out. JD will put you on fish and so will James Allen and Chris Carney who is on here I do believe. I will get the number to those cabins tomorrow when I pass by on the way home and post it.
