Just left LMF. Fished spillway creek and lost creek. Several 4" fish and one about 22" on hand tied wooly booger on my new 3wt. Im not your experienced fly guy and this one is my personal best. Nothing else. Fishing was very slow, but still enjoyable being out there. Crowds are thinning out. Saw a guy with a stringer of about 6 10" fish at cold hole. If they stocked it was unlikely in spillway.

Picked up 2 net fulls of trash to make everyone's trip more enjoyable.

22" fish on your own tied fly...you living right!!! smile

Very nice!

Glad to see someone else wonder if they stocked too......I was there the day they supposedly stocked(they were not scheduled to stock then) and didn't see fish or truck. I heard rumor there was a truck driving around......but my fishing and finding fish didn't show me they stocked. smile I hit all the holes over the course of 3 days.

His name is Harvey. If you are anywhere on the river when we are there you will hear it plenty.
Harvey, wait up.
Harvey, you cant stand on my fly line.
Harcey, out of the water
Harvey, back up so I can net the fish
Harvey, i dont think whining at the water is going to make them bite faster.

He's a very active dog and I hate to leave him behind to sit around the house.

Wow!! Awesome fish on a hand tied fly with a 3 weight. That's an outstanding job, Hookn_Stix. And Harvey will grow up one day, LOL!!

Nice!!
Might have walked past a few times.
Caught a few 15-18. Lots of smaller ones.

Good times.
Used a clown egg pattern.:)

Saw a few 20"+'s come out this weekend. Not sure where they were SUPPOSED to have stocked but Spillway creek from Cardiac to Cold was tuff fishing.

The rewards came to those that knew how to fish slow and deep and have confidence in your technique.

The meat hunters were simply out of lunch.

Brooders are coming along nicely and will soon be 8" hopes the majority make it to 12 but 10" seems to be the yank n take length.

ALOT of these guys were on stringers at 8 - 9" so outlook is gloomy.

Denny

That's wishful thinking right there! smile

Campground was completely full this last weekend. RV, cabins, Tent sites and all. Buddies ended up in Overflow Area. They fished 2 hours Saturday and got fed up. Drove another hour north to Winding Stair and enjoyed the campground to themselves.

It won't clear out until after Thanksgiving, and I sure hope I am not wrong and it last all winter. frown

Weather's just too darn good. Throw a little ice and snow at them, and they'll disappear.

I love it then! I want ice on my guides!! I want steam coming off the water b/c the air is colder than the water. I don't know why I try to go another time......that trout bug is hard to put away for 8 months. smile

Nice rainbow. I drove up and fished Saturday am until about 2 in the afternoon. Not much action on Spillway. Caught about 20 fish. Pulled at least 1 from about every hole in Lost Creek and the biggest out of Evening Hole where Lost Creek enters. Most fish I have ever seen in Lost Creek.
