I used number 4 crappie jigs 1/16 oz last night brother stubby
misplaced my treble hooks ....but .....never fear ...ketchn is here ....
smoked them channel kittys like I knew what I was doing I did

I've been trying to use Stubby's bait but I can't keep the bait on a hook. I put it on, drop it in the water and within a couple of minutes the hook is bare. I'm using #4 treble hooks. Any tips?

Also, how much do you put on the hook - do you cover the barbs with a big glob or just a small amount so the barbs are exposed?

Hi Richard the bait is to hot.put it in the cooler for a while ,I keep it in the ref tell I desire to go fish .It will stay on hook ,if you real up all the time it will come off its made to dissolve in the water that why it is so good.Any questions please call me I will help.

keep it cold and maybe add I think stubby sez flour ...?
I can assure you of one thing ...I got robbed a bunch using crappie jigs
but to be sure the bite was intense and super fast
if I used a treble hook I would have been limited in 30 minutes or less
I used an amount about the size of a quarter or smaller
and if you pull hard or set the hook YES it will come off
Stubby holler at me when you get back to Texas
I will drive over there just to get some more

I haven't been keeping it cold so I will start putting it in a cooler the night before I go.

I would have to get a new wife if I tried keeping it in the refrigerator!
