Just wondering what lure color and pattern folks on TFF have had the best results with at Lake Fork? I've done pretty well with a Blue/Grey natural shad pattern. Doesn't matter what time of the year...just interested in what has produced best for you.

I think I've caught the most with Blue Gizzard. I like a little chrome/silver on the back. But occasionally I bust out Ghost Minnow if the water is darker than normal.

Chartreuse blue back for mid to deep divers. Shad or bluegill pattern for square bills.

Norman Lavender Shad is my favorite. Either the deep little N or the DD22.

This time of year it was either orange with a brown back; used to throw a Poe's super cedar deep diver in this color because it looked a lot like the bluegills in this lake and was productive, they don't make these any more but if you can find something similar it would be worth a try. My other "go to" was a Mann's 20+ in shad with a blue green under side, again a lure that simulates the shad that exist in Fork. If you catch a live shad in Fork it has this blue green color on it.........

Norman 141 color in all sizes Caught 2 overs in may on DD22 5 minutes apart Ole smokey joe. There was a point in time when that color was easily the best crank pattern on the lake.

Interesting you mention the shad having a blue/green tint to them. There are a few responses from other TFF folks who have had good results with lures that have that same blue/green (turquoise?) color. We may be onto something??

In mid summer when Fork is really clear I have had great results with chrome and blue so it seems like blue is the common thread. I'm surprised there haven't been more sunfish color patterns mentioned???
