I'm searching for a pretty stout 6' 6" MH casting rod for SB's and Traps. And, a little softer 7' Med rod but not wimpy. The Mojo and Bucoo are in my price range and was hoping for help picking the best rod.

Thanks!

I bought a couple of All Stars from Academy a couple of years ago that I throw Traps, S/B's and buzzbaits! Really good rods for the price!

Bucoo for sure. I have three them and would definitely take three more. I have 2 lizard draggers and they are good for just about anything. I mainly throw jig and T-rigs with them. I also have a 7'3 heavy action with a softer tip I like to throw big jigs or C-rigs with

My two cents worth......what ever you choose go to a medium. I threw all my traps on an American made All Star BCM 6.6 and the tip having that little bit extra flex seem to keep them hooked up better because they couldn't unload the line near as easy. It worked a lot better than the stiffer medium heavy Diawa rod I was using........I also own a All Star Zell Rowland Top Water Special which feels and acts like the BCM. Topwater bites seem to stay hooked up better using the same style of rod..........

I have a mojo and it is a little flimsy for a MH. I really like my MH 13 omen. It is light enough to throw a square but also cross the eyes with jig/craw. Plus its $100.

I've owned both but sold the Mojo's. The 7 ft Bucco Micro Trapcaster is a great rod for traps, spinnerbaits, and t-rigged plastics. The Mojo's are beautiful rods but were too heavy for me.

I don't have a dog in this fight buy my son caught a 40# yellow cat this morning on a mojo medium. It bit a rage craw under a boat dock. Took about 15 minutes to get it in the boat. Also 30# power pro held up fine.
