We were blessed today with a new member to our family. He will be my wife and I's Crappie fish'n bud. His name is "Homer" and he's a very rare reverse brindle (black) Boxer. I have been a Boxer fanatic for over 30 years and this is the first Black Boxer I have seen. I've seen pics of them, but never seen one in person. I can't believe my adoption application went through so quickly and we were the ones picked. I am ecstatic!! We will be a busy household now with 3 Boxers. Anyway, here is a pic of our son. I think he is just as handsome as his dad (me).

Wow, I have never seen one either. Good looking dog! Thank you sir. In the second pic, my wife was showing him our yard boundaries. He picked up on it quickly especially once the two girls got out there with him and they never get out of the yard. Took him off the leash after four times around the yard and he only stepped out 3 times, but a quick NO got him back within the boundaries. I suspect after a week we won't need to keep such a close eye on him. He'll know the boundaries and stay in our yard.

Good looking dog Have you put him to the "Boat in the Water" test yet? Not yet, but we did go and try on life vest today because a little known fact about Boxers is, not all Boxers can swim.

I no longer breed but I have started rescuing them. Best breed of dog out there in my opinion. They are loyal, loving, protective, playful, GREAT with children, smart and very easy to train.
