My wife and I have been catchin some toads on Palestine the last few weeks. 8.25, 7.75, 7.15, and several 6s and 5s. Yesterday we really keyed in on them. Everything going great right? We went to a different area to try and find some more using our new pattern and bumped a stump. Bent the prop shaft. DANG!! Now got to deal with insurance company and boat shop. Probably gonna put us off the water for 4-5 weeks.

That does suck. Just tell us what this ultra - pattern consists of and I'm sure we could assist you in feeding these large fish so they will have been well taken care of for your return. Sounds like you will be busy on the Honey - Do list.

Diamond sports marine will get you back on the water way faster than 4-5 weeks. A prop shaft shouldn't take but a couple hours . They did mine in like 3 days

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I will gladly take over your spots to catch those toads. Just kidding, not. It is great to hear that Palestine is doing well with the lake being full. It is one of my all time favorite lakes to fish.

Hate to hear about that. Please pass along information on dealings with insurance company.
Have never had to file a claim but, it's probably inevitable. Sooner or later....

If I was on fish, I'd jerk that prop shaft out, take it the machine shop, have it straitened or buy a new one. Buy a seal kit and put it back together. Most prop shops can fix a prop in a day. I'd skip the insurance claim, they will jack your rates up to more than make up your out of pocket.

Will do Lee. I am guessing on 4-5 weeks down time. I will talk to ins. and shop tomorrow. I just know how my luck runs with these kind of things.
On a better note we have caught more big bass on Pal. this year than the last 5 years combined. We kinda stumbled on this pattern accidentally and I am shocked at what we are finding. Sorry to sound vague but it took a ton of time on the water to finally figure this out.
