Does anyone use the power tackle 7' cranking rods?
I have a Duckett 7'6" that I like for series 5, series 6 and other medium cranks.
I was thinking about getting one of the paragon rods for 14+ diver cranks.
My budgett is maxed at $250.
Your opinions, please.

I use PT rods for worms, jigs, c-rigs, swimbaits and 10XD's. If you're simply wanting a good crankin' stick for up to DD22 types, I'd go with the Duckett White Ice 7'11" Lure Launcher.

I have a couple of the Power Tackle PGC173-73 glass cranking rods and I love them.

I have thrown everything from a baby minus 1 to a 6XD on them and they are an awesome rod...

They make the best cranking rods in my book hands down. Ive got the all glass and the half composite half glass. The more you brake them in the better they are.

I thought about getting the white ice "lure launcher" but, I am a 5'4" female.
Maybe I am too short to get the full benefit??

Nonsense. Ever met Dean Rojas, Chris Zaldain, Dave Mansue, Brandon Palaniuk, etc? They're not much taller than you and all fish with 7.5-8 foot rods.

I would buy the Power Tackle 7ft 3 inch composite for cranking med to deep divers. I use the 7 ft model on squarebills and rogues. I have the 7ft and 2 7'3" composites. Good rods.

I got the 7'3" Paragon, all glass a couple weeks ago. Very light, good balance/action, construction and quality are top notch, but just not sensitive enough for me. I've been throught 3 different rods in the past two months trying to find the right fit for me. I may exchange mine for the composite. I like to feel exactly what my bait is going thru, or not thru.

Power Tackle rods are my favorite rods in the world but not for Cranking... I use Powell and Loomis.

I love my Custom Angle Rod for deep diving cranks. The Hot Rod series in the Xtra deep action is awesome for all the deep diving cranks.

I believe Kieth Combs uses the power tackle cranking rods for his deep divers if that tells you anything.
