I have been on vacation for a week, but 7 days ago we were still catching them shallow anchored up in the back of coves. It has been interesting. Some coves hold only channnels, and some hold only blues. But we caught them in the morning anchored in five feet. So we were probably fishing a couple of feet - 9 feet of water. Didn't have success drifting.

The dang lake has gone crazy !!! Caught more blues than channels on Stinkbait and vice versa on shad!!!

That is crazy Tom. I know shad is your go to bait for them blues. Your out there fishing about every day and have a pretty good idea what the fish are doing. Do you have any thoughts on when drifting for blues will get going good? Summer is up on us but it seems like fishing for everything is behind this year.

Last time I was out at oak point I caught channels only on small whole perch. So strange. In the same place I have only been catching blues.

Spent the morning on LL with my 6 year old. We caught 1 small blue cat...doh. I tried liver, blood bait, punch bait, live minnows...on the bottom, through the water column. I even drifted for an hour. We finally gave up and jumped in for a swim. You can tell the lake is full of fish. I'm gonna get to know how to fish this lake if it kills me. Amazing how everyone gathers around the old damn access point.
