I have a whole arsenal of artificials in my box, but only seem to catch on one lure (Down South). I fish in waist deep water that has no real features around.Don't get me wrong, I don't just buy lures to have them, I get them for a specific scenario, but I don't feel I'm utilizing all of my tackle. What are yalls experiences with these? Any suggestions for the following lures including how when and where to fish them would be greatly appreciated!!! CL Crab Swim-bait ChickenBoy Vudu Shrimp/Mullet Gulp Alive Top Water Plugs Down South Lures (my favorite) Big Nasty/ Any other plastics
Im A landlocked bay fisherman who lives an hour out! Making it down whenever i can so i can live that SaltLife!!!

Topwaters early in the morning or late in the day in bay or surf when it's calm. VuDu shrimp/Chicken boy/Gulp shrimp under a popping cork w/ about a 2-3 foot mono/fluorocarbon leader
Plastics using various retrieves or even under a popping cork any time of day in bay or surf

I cast and retrieve chicken boy shrimp 4 inch, they normally get hit by specks and reds on the fall, flounder hit them while bouncing up and down. Same with vuduu I like the trout killer and new penny chicken boy's best.

i think they have it all covered. except you can use that gulp alive under a popping cork for reds. The main thing, which you probably saw in the video is to fish the entire water column (at least once you see signs of fish) then let the fish tell you what they want. Recently on a trip the fish readily hit the topwater early (bone one knocker spook) then as that slowed down I switched to plastic...but they didn't want it fished only on a jig head, many times if they won't hit the topwater, you can switch to plastic on a jig head...they didn't want it. So I put the plastic under that sid walsh cigar mauler (about 16" below it) and it was on. They were keying on top but wanted something suspended in their face. Granted all this was with trout slicks popping and us working them correctly to locate the fish, again, just as you saw in the video.
