Can two piece rods, such as 7' and 6'6", be inserted into the hull through the center hatch?

I put a storage tray under my center hatch and never tried it. Don't think the will fit through the hatch. I've put 12 rods in the front hatch before. When I'm on the water my rods are out for easy access.

I have done it with 7 footers and the hatch is slightly canted to accommodate putting rods in it, it is not easy and I don't do it any more. I have not tried it with spinning rods and it was tough with low profile bait casters.

Thanks. I was wondering if it was possible since I am thinking about buying one and I could possibly go out through the surf once in a blue moon and would like to be able to sstore some rods while going out. I know you can store them in the front hatch, but I think it would be hard to get them out while on the water.

I am also thinking about a Cuda 14 or maybe one of the big boy yaks. I just not sure with the Cuda if it will work with me being 270ish
