We have had steady gusts for about three weeks here in Central Texas.

Enough already!

Heck yes, but mine is for different reasons. I have a whole lot of lawns and a few pastures that I need to spray. So unless I get several non windy days I do not get to fish unless we have a couple of rainy days in a row and the rain has been light again this year.

I might need a new job lol

Now there's a topic of discussion! Sheesh. Other than jboy, who gained his casting skills from the same place Johnny got his fiddling skills, the wind is pretty much the bete noir of casters.

I'll toss in that if there are any wadable deep-cut creeks, that can get you out of the wind.

Here in decatur tx the wind has been horrible. I live on a hill south of town and several times a week am picking up limbs that have been blown out of the trees around. Would love to have one day without major wind blowing.......

No issues here.

The Texas wind sucks!!! I have to get the wind behind me and roll cast. I've given up on trying to cast into the wind.

Spend a week or two in Cheyenne, WY during winter/spring. There is no wind here.

If you wait until there is no wind up here in north Texas to fish or work on casting, we'll you will never do either.

Windy time is the right time to drop into your favorite ditch - out of the wind, and fish the ditches!
