The last stop of the 2014 regular season will be Lake Waco out of Airport Beach Marina on May 31, 2014. Tournament participation appears to be dropping off a bit across the board but we have been fortunate to average 121 teams after four events and are expecting over 100 on Lake Waco.

Since the Biobor Big Bass side pot was not won/paid out on Belton the $500 will roll over to Waco and the Biobor Big Bass will be worth $1,000 if you purchase a bottle of Biobor from us before the start of the tournament! After four tournaments the average TTZ Big Bass payout is $1,200 so in addition to the Biobor bonus one single fish could be worth over $2,000 on Lake Waco!

We will also determine the 2014 TTZ AOY on Lake Waco and see which team gets their 2015 regular season entry fees paid for along with a $1,000 prize package from Shimano/G Loomis. The standings have been updated after Belton and the father and son team of Dale and Jake Read are making a run at winning AOY back-to-back, but with over 100 teams expected at Waco anything can happen and we are eager to see who comes out on top. The top three in AOY standings after Waco will also have their Championship entry fees waived. Championship dates and lake will be announced at Waco, to qualify for the $10,000 Championship you must fish a minimum of four 2014 regular season events.

Online registration, tournament info and AOY standings are available here:

Is the Waco tournament an open tournament or do you have to have a membership to fish?

There is a 35$ per angler membership fee...but for 230$ which includes the big bass side pot the potential to win some serious money is there

We will be out at Airport Beach Friday starting at 5 pm for pre-registration and will have coolers full of complimentary iced down Lone Star and Lone Star Light, please come join us and see what we are all about.

Complimentary beer will also be provided at the weigh-in Saturday along with complimentary fajitas and sausage wraps. As always, big thanks to Capital Beverage and Lone Star for their support of the TTZ Trail.

Booker and Rooster will be fishing the Wed Night tournament on Lake Waco this week out of my 2014 FX21, they will have entry forms and will be there to answer any questions y'all might have regarding the tournament.

I'll be sure to pack the coolers full of Lone Stars before they leave so feel free to walk up, introduce yourself and grab an ice cold Lone Star. Also, if interested in a ride in the new FX feel free to take it out for a spin, that boat is pretty sweet and holds a ton of beer!

I fished Waco a few years ago for a total of 10 hours..maybe. Didnt get skunked, so that says something about how good that lake is.

Making the 3 hour drive from New Braunfels to fish this one. I wouldnt miss a chance to fish against some of the best anglers in the state, or pound coldies with them the night before.

TTZ does not run the Lake Waco Wed Night Tournament.

Lake Waco is off limits this week for anyone fishing the TTZ tournament on May 31.
