Hey guys,

I'm planning to meet a few buddies from work at Benbrook Lake this weekend for some bank fishing. I'm not familiar with this lake, and was hoping for some tips/advice regarding where to fish.

I'd like to fish for sandies on Bear Creek between the 1187 and Ben Day Murrin bridges, but I'm not sure the fish are still there.

Is this still a good location or have the fish already finished their spawn and moved back into the main lake?

Any other suggestions regarding other options?

Went out early this morning and fished Bear Creek feeding into Benbrook Lake from the bridge under Ben Day Murrin Road all the way upstream to the creek area off Westcreek Circle Road. All we caught was a small LMB on a minnow. Saw 7-8 other fisherman who weren't having any luck either. Better luck next time.
