This may not be the place to ask this Question-- I just bought a new Blue Wave--Sales slip says 2007-- It was new-I guess. The title came back 2006. I looked at nada-- there is $1740 diffrence--do i got a complaint.---------mike

The first thing to do is determine if the title is correct, or the sales contract. Go look at the serial number on the boat. It'll be in the rear of the boat on the starboard side, visible from outside the boat. The last 2 digits represent the year of the boat.

Then address it accordingly.

I had that issue. As per the dealer & TP&W the title is the year the boat was manufactured. Mine is an 06 that was made in Oct of 05 & therefore the title says 05.

I don't think that is right. The title should reflect the model year, regardless of the manufacture date. Boat manufacturers typically change their model year in June or July, just prior to the dealer shows. wink

Take another look at your title. It should have two dates after the make. The first date is "year built" and the second date is "Model year". Thats the way my title reads, mine was built in 1997 and is a 1998 model. The motor title is the same way.
