Saturday November the 17th, TXFishes.com is holding a "Fish in - Trash out" event on the banks os LLELA.

Over the past several months the extra water release has brought out scores of new people to LLELA. Many of these people obviously do no care about the river, their surroundings, or other anglers. The level of trash they have deposited on the banks is unbelievable.

This is the cleanest and most beautiful branch of the Trinity River, Many of the users of TXFishes.com spend a good deal of time here, and have been disgusted with the newly acquired piles of trash. If this is an area of the river you care enough about come on out on the 17th of November and help us clean it up.

Do you guys have a local news channel up there, that would cover this event? Something like this started years ago here in Austin, the local news started to cover it, now it has become a huge event. It is a great way of guilting people in their future trash habits when they see it on TV.

We will not. All people associated with the TXFsihes.com event will be granted entry (of course). Although I'll be paying mine anyhow. Every little bit helps them

We should make out fliers for them to hand out at the Gate...they could say "Attention! Clean-up in Progress. If you are seen littering, you will be thrown into the river. Repeatedly."

The idea, is to NOT to throw trash in the water.

The Trinity river trash bash has become a huge event. They supply bags, food and drinks and they dispose of a LOT of trash!! Google it... there is one in any area near the trinity. We should get them to provide free drinks....

what time is this going to be??? all day, i have to be best man in a wedding later that afternoon but would love to come out early if i can

Whatever is good for you. I'm probably not even going to fish that day. I know a lot of members are going to fish the morning bite, then clean up for a few hours, then fish a bit before heading home.
