caught a mess of sand bass Saturday trolling the greenville pump station...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Lol. That had to have been you in the sportsman doing circles around me. Yesterday was my first time on the lake so I really dont know the areas. I was vertically jigging and couldnt keep the sandies off my lures. I was getting two at a time. They were hungry. Always amazes me the size fish that will eat an oz and a half lure. I was hoping for some hybrids or striper to be mixed in but there were none to be found. I bet within a couple of weeks they will be. Water temp was still disappointing low at 58-60

I've always been curious...is the Greenville pump station that intake pipe just north of the boat ramp on the east side of 2-mile bridge or is it that longer (what also looks like an intake pipe) structure a little further north on that same side? Thanks!

It's the cement / brick structure looking thing near the pipe.

Allow me to clarify my question...is the intake pipe for the Greenville pump Station the structure that is about 3/4 of a mile north of the boat ramp on the N.E. side of the 2-Mile bridge? Thanks.

Yes, but I would bet it is closer to 1/2 mile

I heard that Holiday was closed and I bet with all the rain that lake got, the water will be real muddy.

My luck lol. Hopefully the muddy water stays up on the upper part of the lake.

Holiday is closed, and gated. Launch at the public ramp next to Holiday if fishing that end of the lake.

As for surfacing activity, I doubt anyone would say whether or not fish are surfacing regularly. To do so invites everyone that has no clue out to a lake. But this time of year is prime for it.
